I did hear, but not until 4:56 p.m. Ugh! I was accepted into the MH program, so I look forward to meeting my new classmates. Thanks to everyone who posted to this board, as I found reading your posts helped my wait by giving me something proactive to do. Best of luck to everyone still waiting to hear.

So today was supposedly the deadline for acceptances/rejections and I still haven't heard anything. :/

I called the college of nursing 3 times and literally kept getting their voicemail even though I called between noon and 2 which I would think would be times people would be in the office. Finally I called Julie Kim who I met at the open house and she told me that she was still working on sending all the e-mails out, but I should know by 5 pm. 5:30 rolls around and still nothing so i just thought I would call her again and of course I got her voicemail.

At this point I am pretty sure I've been rejected, but I feel like they should have sent me something or at least told me that I might have to wait an extra week to find out my status. I am pretty upset with UIC right now because I have been stressing out so much about recieving an e-mail this week and have been holding off on accepting my admittance to Depaul's program till I heard from them. If they didn't think they could send out all the replies by April 30th, why put that date on the site? Anyway I just had to rant, sorry about that lol I am going to call one last time Monday and just ask them whats going on and if they can't give me an answer or if they just brush me off again like they did today then looks like its Depaul for me.

I received my acceptance letter for Adult/ Geriatric NP yesterday (Friday) afternoon.

I can't wait to meet everyone and good luck to those still waiting to hear about decisions/ waiting lists.

WordGirl, I'm sorry you haven't heard anything yet, you must be incredibly frustrated! I hope they let you know today & congrats on DePaul!!!

So out of curiosity, what are everyone's backgrounds? What made you want to apply to this program? Does anyone currently live out of state? And for those of us who got accepted did you feel that you had a strong application? or were you surprised you got in?

Hi everyone,

I got into acute care NP. Live in chicago and just joined the list. I felt that my application offered a lot in some areas and was weak in others. I don't have a strong science background and my education was fine arts and liberal arts oriented. That being said, I thought my interview went well and I'm bilingual. At the end of the day, I think there is a lot of luck with these things and yes, I was surprised I got in. This is a career change for me, so it's very much of a surprise. I look forward to meeting those who got in.

Tulip and Fer, have you heard anything about the PNP wait list? I do know that it's by specialty and we can find out up until orientation in october/november most likely.

Sunshine, still no word for me. No one ever responded to the e-mail that I sent last week, and I have also tried calling, with no success, and the call went to voicemail both times. I have also not received a formal letter in the mail at all, have you?

No, I have not received a letter at home either.

hmmm, I wish there was easier way to get more information... as always, i'll definitely let you know if I hear anything, get a hold of anyone, or get the letter at home.. :)

I haven't received anything in the mail either. Yes, please let me know if you all hear anything...and I will certainly do the same!

By the recent threads, I am pretty sure I already know the answer to my question...but has anyone heard back about the Acute Care waiting list? Or any waiting list in general
