Resurrection University Fall 2012 Applicants

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hi all,

I am new here and have found the forum to be very informational. I decided to start a thread for Resurrection's fall 2012 applicants. I think it would be good to keep in touch throughout the process, so if you have any questions or comments feel free to express them here. I already submitted my application, transcripts and essay, all I need is to take the TEA's test. I'm taking it in February and am really nervous because I haven't even started studying. Has anyone taken it yet? How was it?

I am also applying to 2 other programs:

Loyola's ABSN program

Truman's Associates in Nursing program

I am debating on applying to UIC's GEP program, DePaul's MENP program and Rush's GEM program.

If anyone else is applying to these, please let me know! Thanks & good luck to all.

Im applying to Resurection's Fall 2012 Daytime program also. I just had my unofficial transcript evaluted today explaining what prerequisites I had left to take. I plan on start my application process at the end of january, And im also applying to chamberlain. Did you apply for guaranteed admissions or regular admissions?

Im applying to the Daytime program at Resurrection as well. Im almost done with my application! I have been in contact with Juan Miranda, hopefully I have a chance. I currently have a 3.2, but I know when my transcript was evaluated, they took my highest grade for my retakes. Im also applying to Loyola, but Im not sure how competitive they are! Good luck to you guys!

I wanted to apply for guaranteed but don't think I qualify. What about you? Good luck with the application process! It's not too bad. Did you apply to any other schools?

Hey! I'm applying to Loyola too! Are you applying to their ABSN program? I heard it's really competitive but Loyola is my first choice. For which term are you applying for? Good luck to you too!

Hi,

I look the TEAS exam a couple months ago. The TEAS study guide is a good way to prepare but it is just a guide. There will be some questions on there that were not covered in detail in the book but I still feel it helped. All in all the test wasn't too bad. You also have two attempts at the test so don't worry too much because you can always take it again.

Katie

Im retaking the Teas on the 25th. RickyLatino87: Im on the wait list at Valpariaso University. I applied to Union University in Jackson, TN. And I want to apply to Loyola. Have you applied to Resurrection yet?

@RickyLatino87 Im going to try to apply for guarenteed admissions but it depends on my TEAS score if im eligible or not, I have the gpa though.

Hey Katie,

I took it last month and did really well. The study guide helped a lot! How did you do?

Good luck! I hope you get into your first choice. I already applied to Res, I am just waiting for my mid-term grades for Microbiology and A&P II, so they can evaluate my application.

Have you started your application for Loyola? I'm also applying there but the deadline is not until May. I wish it was sooner, Loyola is my first choice so I have to wait until probably June/July to get an admission decision from them.

Another Fall'12er here! I have all application materials submitted and all courses already finished. I am taking the TEAS this Friday. I've used the Version V study guide and am mostly concentrating on the science portion, as my pretests have indicated that is my weakest area. This is ironic because I have a 4.0 GPA in my science pre-reqs. As for cum GPA, mine is somewhat low because of my previous bachelor's degree. I don't worry too much about that though because I am older and a career changer, so I hope that their overall view of me is that I am a good candidate.

I was told during my transcript review that everyone whose applications are complete (including TEAS score in) before April 1 are evaluated individually and applicants are not really compared against each other, but that applicants are judged up against each other once there are limited spots left.

I will post again after my test Friday with my score. Apparently we get them immediately after the test.
