Question for IL or IN Rns...

Hello everyone! I am happy to report that I have received my official ATT letter with test sites and their dates/times. My question is this: Is the Merriville, IN location available for IL-RN candidates? I noticed it was added to my list of available sites based on my zip code entry. Any info would be greatly appreciated, including good directions to the site (coming from 106th and Torrence), INTERNET directions (Mapquest, etc.) are so vague and unrealistic!!! JMHO, of course. I am SOOOOOOOO nervous about this whole process! Take care, bye 4 now....:nurse:

That is where I took my NCLEX in late July! I came from northside Chicago, took the 90/94 down.

And yes, I am an IL RN.

Where are you coming from, southside Chicago?

To get to the testing center from the highway is easy.

Still haven't heard back from Pearson, but it did seem logical that if once I entered my zip they wouldn't put the Merriville location out there if it wasn't available for IL registration. How was the site? I imagine it would be a very nice place...Merriville is a nice place in general. Was the building hard to locate? Any good landmarks nearby to look out for when driving there? BTW, I really hate driving on expressways (toll roads) I was thinking to take Torrence to Ridge and then straight to that road (terrible with directions, street names, etc.) I think its Indianapolis Blvd. or rte. 30?

Well, thanks to all who offered info, I became of victim of "he who hesitates, loses out"!!!! I confirmed with Pearson that Merriville WAS in fact ok to sit for an IL license, but by the time I checked the availability, the date/time I desired WAS TAKEN! Dang it! So I am officially taking my test on Friday October 20th at 3:00pm in--Schaumburg, IL. Very far from the southside, but at least it is the ideal time and date for me...with the help of God I will take this test and pass and embark on my long-awaited illustrious career as an RN!!!! Pray for me all, as I definitely pray for all!!!!!! Take care and bye 4 now!
