U.S.A. Illinois

i am 32 and just made the decision to switch careers and become a nurse. because i am not in a financial position right now to go to school full time, i am planning on taking a prerequisite a semester and then hopefully be ready to apply to a program.

i will be attending waubonsee cc starting spring 2010 and am planning on taking a&p i to start. i was wondering if there was anyone else out there also attending/has attended waubonsee that has taken this course that could give me some info on their experience (instructors, labs, etc.). please feel free to pm if preferred.

also, if anyone is planning on taking a&p i in the spring and would like a study partner or group, let me know. i have already starting prepping and would love to have someone else to study with!

I did A&P frokm Waubonsee and we had professor Holmes as our instructor. Labs were very interesting and lectures were mostly boring.

Passed the course with B. LOT OF HARD WORK:up:

Thanks for the info! What were the labs like? The course description says they incorporate using human cadavers, but I noticed the lab manual says it's the "cat" edition. Just wondering if animals were used in the labs as well.

as far as I remeber , we used to work with human cadavers and for seperate body systems we used once cow's brain, eyes to study, some models etc to learn but definitely NO CATS.

Enjoy Labs as they are fun
