    When I was in school (in the 1980's) candidates were allowed 3 tries, then had to present evidence of further education in order to take the test a 4th time. The Nurse Practice Act is re-written every 7 years in IL, so things may have changed since then. Check out the Department of Professional Regulation's website for more info.

    I think that it's still 3 times---don't know for sure though!
