Is my score good enough for nursing program at Oakton College?

U.S.A. Illinois

Hi, I applied for the nursing program of Fall 2014 at Oakton College. They have requirements of having at least 60% or above of the composite score and 60 or above on verbal.

I took my NLN on 2/6 and got the result of 142 with 70%on verbal (answered correctly) which gave me a 74 on relative performance score, math and science with 98 on relative performance each. But I don't know whether the score is good enough for the cut line. They said they'll give out the acceptance letter at the end of March, and I'm so stressed out to find out the result. Do you think it's a good idea to call the nursing advisor to ask about the probability of getting accepted to the program?

Let me get out my crystal ball. There is no way for us to determine if you will get in without knowing everyone elses scores and any other criteria they use to decide. Calling the school will not help, they will tell you the same thing, they don't know until everyone's application is in and they sit down and go through them one by one which is a labor intensive process.

Sorry but you will have to wait until the date and viciously stalk the mailman every day or check your email constantly just like the rest of us did.

I got a 140 and classmates of mine got into the program with 100 and another wit 110. So I'm pretty sure I'm all set. However your school could be more competitive. 142 is good bough it's in the 93rd percentile I believe

Thanks Don1984! This is my last chance to get in so I was being so nervous and literally couldn't do anything until I find out the result. Thanks for the advice!
