Med surg 2nd fail

My wife failed med surg 2nd time and city colleges of Chicago told her she is finished and done!!! DEVASTATED SHE IS!!!! SOME RN SAID TAKE IT AT A SUBURBAN SCHOOL AND ALL CREDITS WILL TRANSFER,, OTHERS SAID TO GO TO LPN SCHOOLING.. SHE REALLY IS PHYSCOLOGICALLY DISTRAUGHT AND NEEDS SERIOUS CONFIRMED INFO WITH ILLINOIS REQUIREMENTS. Please help me to help her.Thank you

I'm so sorry to hear about your wife! What a terrible position to be in. My school is the same way...if you fail twice you are out completely and cannot go back to the school for 3 years.

She could definitely try going for her LPN or transfer to a different RN/BSN program but I don't know how they would view the 2 fails. Before making any decision, if I were in her shoes, I would do a lot of soul searching and try to figure what I was doing wrong and what habits I need to change in order to succeed the next time around. It wouldn't be good to get accepted into another program and fail that too. Plus that's a lot of money down the drain!
