Maybe start a new thread asking Loyola graduates where they are working now? Might be better than buried in this thread.

I want to get my fnp too! Yay! So happy to meet a future colleague! : )I would love that fnp emergency or cardio one. How about you?
Totally! Let the networking begin! :) I'm leaning toward a general FNP practice. I'm coming from a massage therapy background, so I really want to provide integrative healthcare that doesn't always jump to a surgery or drug conclusion for every diagnosis. It absolutely drives me nuts to meet twenty-somethings who have had carpal tunnel surgery without first being perscribed physical therapy or (heaven forbid!) massage therapy to fix this completely reversible condition before doing irreversible damage to the area with surgery. I could get up on my little soap box for hours, but I won't, since it would be too far off topic. :) But, I just wanted to give a little insight on why I want to be a NP.

Ok, cool :)

Just an update for those who are interested - Natalie Bachtell emailed me saying the enrollment deposit is refundable up until May 1st.

I posted this on the depaul thread so I thought I should post this hear too and try to get more feedback.....here's a question- for those debating between loyola and depaul- which is your first choice and why? I am still trying to figure out which program to go for (if I do get accepted) and man this is a tough decision. Depaul was my first choice but loyola is awesome too.....seems like for my goals both programs will get me there in about the same time frame (fnp).. And both are about the same costs.... Loyola seems higher ranked (50) and depaul is (115) but depaul has 95% pass rate and loyola is 81% pass rate- however I don't put much stock into the pass rates because I know I would apply myself and study hard for that test (already bought a bunch of apps!) sooooo I am wondering- for those with the same dilemma- what is swinging you towards one school or the other?Renee

It's nice when life makes decisions for you. :). Although it sucks that you had to go through such an agonizing wait before finding out. As far as student loans, check out Charter One. A friend of mine got a good rate from them last year (around 4%). She said most of the other banks were offering a rate of 12%!! YIKES!

Miss Molly,

Did your friend have a co-signer? Also, are you able to apply for the loan online or do you have to go to one of their branches?
