Hiring process at Rush

  1. Hi! I recently applied to some new grad positions at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and I was wondering if anyone had any input on how long the process takes? How long until I know if I didn't get the job or if they're interesting in interviewing me? Thanks!

I am in the same boat. How did you know which positions were specifically new grad? I applied to just Staff Nurse I positions in areas I had interest.

That's what I did too! I was under the impression those were new grad positions because online where there's info on the new grad residency program it says that they are the Registerd Nurse I positions

I was told that RN I positions are positions that new grads are welcomed to apply to but are not specifically for new grads. So essentially you are competing against new grads and experienced nurses for these positions. I was also told to look in the description to see if new grads are welcomed to apply for that specific RN I position.

Doesn't really say when this was made so I'm assuming it's recent.
I am currently attending nursing school and I applied for a different non nursing position at Rush which is still healthcare. I did clinicals there for the degree I obtained and it honestly can take long or not long at all from what the HR lady said. I got called to work elsewhere that seemed much better so I gave up the job but If you know connections at Rush it will guarantee you a for sure spot with them. Aside from that, it is rather difficult to get a call back being that they want overly qualified individuals.
