Has anyone driven to the IDPFR in Springfield?

U.S.A. Illinois

I am waiting for documents I overnighted to arrive in the hands of a processor in Springfield, so I can hopefully receive my license. I overnighted the documents, but two days later they still have not arrived up from the mailroom to the person I have been speaking with.

If I don't have my license by Friday, I cannot start my new position on Monday.

Has anyone ever taken any documents to Springfield and has this been helpful? Most of the time when I call, no one is helpful. I finally actually spoke to someone who has been informative, but there was a different receptionist today who REFUSED to transfer me to him to check to see if my docs were received, even though he requested I call. She actually pretended he didn't exist. I am beyond angry. I don't know what else to do.

Best of my memory, it takes about 3 weeks after you send to state for your license to be issued. Remember the state processes a lot more licenses than just nursing. The plumbers want their stuff too. All you can do is wait and be patient.

I completely understand and know that frustrating feeling you have with IDFPR. I passed the NCLEX in November and haven't heard from them for a month and two weeks only to tell my they don't have my fingerprints or background. They were very unhelpful on the phone and even though I had my TCN tracking number they were still unable to find it. One person told me he had to send a "request" to find it and couldn't do it right at that moment. Every time I called I was told that I would hear something by the end of the week but no calls so I end up calling again. Finally the fourth representative I called actually took the time to figure out the mess and told me my prints were expired so I had to get them done again. I don't understand why they couldn't take the time (less than 10 minutes) to do that and tell me so I don't waste time. So extremely frustrated with them. I thought I was the only one because I hear all my peers got it super fast like in 2 weeks after sending in their application for license. Hope everything works out for you. I'm still waiting on my license on hand as well and the told me 2-3 weeks but I wouldn't count on that.
