ECG certification

I have been interested in obtaining ECG certification. I went to CPR associates website and saw they had an online basic ecg for adults class, which I assumed would result in certification. Apparently not. They charged me $104 for an access code to onlineAHA.org. When I went to the AHA website I found the exact same course for 34.95. So, not only was I ****** about that, but the course does not result in any certification from the AHA, only a certificate of completion. SO, main question is, Does anyone know of any classes in the Chicago area/suburbs that will result in ECG certification that I can add to my resume?
