CMK Healthcare LPN Program

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

My friend is looking at attending an LPN school soon and she found out about CMK's LPN program. The cost of tuition is around $15,000 and the program is for 10 months.

CMK also has an agreement with Saint Xavier University to accept CMK's classes for their LPN-BSN program.

Does anyone have any more info on this school?

Edit: Can a staff member please move the thread to the IL program discussion forum? Thank you.

:yeah:

I realy should meet this guy :-) He isn't like others, not at all :)

Good luck with your Career Magelan and Thanks for all the info about this school.I just sent a friend of mines there because she needs a weekend program....

well i am gettting a BA degree and going into cc to do these pre recs casue i dont have the money to pay for these pre recs at the campus 2400 bucks at once is alot (somthing i cant afford now) i am going to work as a CNA to make my money and i am not going to go to JC but i am going to get a BA in about 1 year and 4 months which i think is pretty fast

What school is this that you are getting your BA in a year and 4 months?

hey this is not about the LPN program, but it is about CMK. I graduated from a CNA class at harper college and want to be a PCT should I get the EKG certi and the phelbotmy certication at a separate time or pay for a PCT traning at CMK

You don't have to pay 2.5k for PCT program. You need to take separately ECG and Phlebotomy course, to pass National Exams and afterwards, with all 3 certificates (CNA, ECG Tech & Phlebotomy Tech) you are eligible to seat for National PCT Exam (and that would be fourth certificate).

Technically, you can take CNA, ECG and Phlebotomy at three different schools, and to apply for PCT Exam at fourth :)

magellan is correct. Since you have your CNA certification already. CMK will credit that, all you need to do is take the EKG course and the Phlebotomy course. Once you have all three, you can pay for the NHA testing fee and take that test. Let me know if you need more info

what is the NHA test?

so what test would I atcually take after I got CNA certif, phelbotmy certi, and EKG certi than what test would I take next

so after I get it all and i go for aPCT postion at a hospital would I need to get another certification

do I need this certifcation as a PCT at a hospital?

@ Chris_NS

- After you are certified CNA, ECG and Phlebotomy Tech, then you can apply for PCT National Exam.

- NHA = National Healthcareer Association (organization that issues certificates for EKG, Phlebotomy Techs, PCTs...) NHA

- In the state of Illinois, as far as I know, for PCT positions in most cases only CNA certificate is required, and then you have training for ECG and Phlebotomy when you start (all the people on PCT positions who I know were only CNAs when they started). But, if you already have all these certificates it should be a huge plus, I guess...
