Question for anyone who has completed the application: Are there essays? Or letters of recommendation? I haven't taken the TEAS yet, so I haven't filled out the online app. I'd like to be prepared if there are

No, there is no essay to complete for the application and no need for any letters of recommendation. The entire process takes all of 5-6 minutes. You'll need to know what term and grade you got for each required class such as English 101, bio 121, chem 121, micro, etc. Hope this helps!!

does the teas score really effect getting in the program or are they using it as a gateway tool?

In my opinion, I think they are using the TEAS score to determine their decision for students who's GPA is below 3.3

I don't know this for sure, but from all the information I've been hearing the better your GPA the better your chances are of getting in, but the TEAS score does play a factor if your application grades, GPA, and TEAS score are more common to others that have applied.

Hope this makes sense and is helpful. Good Luck!!!!
