Chamberlain At Addison Il.

U.S.A. Illinois

Published

Hi

I am thinking of going to Chamberlain starting July 2011. I was not able to get into any community colleges plus I want to do BSN. Now my concern is how is this A2 exam ? is it hard ? I need to score good on it to get admission. Also I am concerned about the tuition which is too high. Do they give you financial aid or loan..? how about for books and scrubs?

any help would be appreciated.

thanks.

brenda.

You should call and talk to an advisor..but they do have financial aid, loans, and scholarships. If you go to the IL board...there is a huge thread about Chamberlain in there

thank you. I will talk to her soon after my a2 exam...i'm nervous about the test.

When are you taking the test.. I have to take the TEAS.. so nervous!

Chamberlain uses the HESI exam for prospective students. Which CC's did you apply to? Chamberlains admissions are more competitive the longer you wait to apply and that tends to peak during certain months with their weird trimesters.

Are you asking me or her about the CC's?

I would think that the springtime is less competitive than the fall no?

I'm taking HESI / A2 next week March 28th. I am so nervous. I am applying to Addison IL campus for July 2011. They said my GPA is fine but i need to score about 80% on my test.

I resently took my A2 and heard back from them a while ago saying i got accpeted for the july 2011 semester, I can't wait!

And dw the A2 was not as bad or hard as it seems. Good luck!

chamberlain's entrance exam is about 7 parts, biology, chem, anatomy, reading, vocab, english, and math and prob one more that has been added. The math part was not too hard just conversions and ratios mostly but the chem and the anatomy sections where pretty tough.

Oh really..how much did you get on your A2. I am still debating if I should go there or take my NLN again and apply at community college.

This school has me a little concerned, my gpa was pretty low, I think a 2.89 and I took the hesi twice, the second time I got a overall score of 84%. I have many withdrawals on my transcripts from two of the previous colleges I attended. I was told to write a letter of intent, so I did. I received a phone call 2 weeks later saying I was accepted. I know for a fact most if not all the other nursing schools in Illinois would not accept me due to my poor academic past. Does anyone else find this to be a little strange?

I found it strange myself. However it's a "for profit" school and the tuition is much more than normal BSN programs. They are however accredited through the right places and they are legit. That was what I was worried about when I applied but everything checks out.
