Are there ANY ADN programs in Chicago?

Does anyone know of any programs in the Chicagoland area to obtain an associate's degree in nursing without a huge waiting list?

I'm currently attending Joliet Junior College, and this semester will be the third time that I'm applying there. Granted, my GPA isn't a 4.0, but I'm not a bad student. My point is, is that I'm in my late 20s, and I don't have the time to wait for a 'possibility' of getting in. I'd rather spend a little more money on tuition with a guarantee of getting in, rather than waiting around.

My goal is to get a BSN, however the hospital that I plan to work at (after I get my CNA license) has a program for their employees to get their BSN one night a week for free. I'd rather do that, than be in debt, considering I won't qualify for a lot of financial aid.

Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I've been googling so much lately without many answers unfortunately. If anyone can offer any suggestions, I'd be very grateful.:D

Im at JJC as well, and decided I will be transferring because of the amount of people that apply, and the limited seats that they have....

Unfortunatly your going to have to have this probelem with mostly all ADN programs seeing as they're most likely based at a community college, public schools=large amounts of people aplying to the nursing program

The problem with applying to other cc is that they choose in district residents first and with the large amount of applicants they don't even have to look at out of district residents. The only option for other cc is to move so that you are in district if you are really set on going to a cc. Good luck!

I don't know if you can move or not but if you have your pre courses finished you may want to look into moving to get in. I'm in the Quad Cities (Rock Island, Bettendorf, Davenport,etc) and we have 4-5 nursing colleges withing 15 miles of each other. In this economy the goal is to get in and get done as soon as possible.

I will tell you when I went to school 2002-04 my school had a ton of funding if you are need based. Good Luck
