JJC Spring 2010 applicants

Hey my grades and scores were as followed

Psyc 101 B
Spch 101 B
Eng 101 A
Bio 250 A
Bio 251 B
Psyc 215 B
Bio 151 B
Heal 109 A



my Teas Compostie score was and 82.8 and my reading was 97.5
I also have my CNA but i know that doesnt count towards anything with grades. As far as how exactly they really calculate this stuff is beyond me. Dont be discouraged and definatly do not give up.

Bio 240 - B Doesn't count as part of prereq GPA

I'm in bio 251, health 109, and soc 290 and I'm getting an A in all of them right now. My TEAS composite was an 86 and my reading was a 90(a little below the average for accepted students).

And I was denied. I'm still stuck scratching my head the more that I think about it. What went wrong?

I got in!!!!! OMG - I was so nervous I couldn't even open the email!

I have been accepted into the day nursing program!! Here were my scores-

Does anyone know what time the day program starts/ends?

It has to be because I'm not done with bio 251 or heal 109. There is absolutely no other explanation.

Yea I'm sure next semester you'll get in. Maybe try to work on the reading teas score? It counts for 20% of the acceptance criteria. The teas brand study guide really helped me. Did you use it at all?

Not being done with pre-reqs is probably the reason.

No, I didn't use the study guide at all. I'll apply next semester, but I'm focused on St. Francis and NIU now. If I can get into on of those schools for the fall then it's really pointless to start JJC's nursing program instead of theirs. I wanted to get my RN license and then do an RN-BSN program but after being denied this semester, that route is really just a waste of time. I only wish I had organic chem done so that I could apply at every other school in the state.
