Do Chicago Hospitals only hire BSN RNs?


I am an RN with an Associate Degree in Nursing and am thinking about moving to Chicago in the fall. I've been looking at job openings and it seems like most of the hospitals prefer BSN grads. Do Chicago hospitals (Loyola, UofC, etc) hire RNs with an Associate Degree in Nursing? I'm curious. Thanks!

I just got a job at Children's Memorial in Lincoln Park and I have an ASN.

My friend worked for Delnor near Chicago and she had an ADN.

Quick question, you said you just got a job at Childrens Memorial. Were you a new grad? I graduate in December 2009 and was looking into applying for their new grad programs? Just wondering how competitive it was? and how good the program was?

May I ask you what school you graduated from? I want to work at Childrens memorial so bad. Do you have any good advice? Should I try to get a pct or cna job at a hospital in the peds dept if I can? Thanks!
