My situation is a bit different for enrollment at Chamberlain.
Because I have been a practicing RN for 21 years, I was in the BSN program. I did not have to take that test called A2 (honestly not familar with it) you mentioned.
But--I worked really hard as a student, hours upon hours, to earn my 4.0. I was working part time which was a blessing to me.
They went out of their way to get me enrolled in the program as soon as possible. I was pleased with their promptness. Keep in communication with them. They are very approcable by phone and email. When I had a request while a study--they dealt with it immediately.
I hope they get the MSN program up and running soon.

hi there. im new here, but when did you apply for march admission? march as in for summer 09 admissions correct? i thought march admission is not open yet? When does early admission end do you know? Also, do you have to take the A2 right after you apply or can you take it on your own tme when you are ready? Im thinking since part of admissions is based off of the A2 scores, so right away correct?

i'm thinking of making an appt and talking to teh counselors to see how i do compared with others competng for admissions. would taht be a good idea u think?

wait.. how is march early admissions? Their deadline ends in march for summer semester. u are referring to applying for summer 09 classes right?

They have three start dates at Chamberlain- March (spring), July (summer), and Oct (fall). The deadline for the spring admission to start in March is November 15 (tomorrow). I am referring to the spring 2009 term. I'm not sure what the deadline is for the summer term... but I'm sure you can find it online really easily. You should definetly make an appointment & talk to someone. There is really not an "early admission", I was told that I was accepted earlier than most people because I had already applied once & been accepted previously, and had to apply again when I decided to wait.

You have to take your A2 before the deadline for the semester you want to apply, as it is a part of your application process.

Hopefully this clears some things up? Let me know if you have any other questions...

thanks n congrats on gettin in! that clears up a lot of things.. i was going to apply for spring semester but didn't find out about the school til a week before the nov15 deadline. so im going to wait and apply for summer semester instead. the sooner i take the a2 the better right? since part of my admission depends on the scores. im trying to hurry before this school becomes more popular and raise all the requirements. are there any changes to the admissions requirements that you know of considering i just found out about this school a couple wks ago.

when you made an appointment with them, did the counselor give you hints on your chances of getting in based off your transcripts? I think my gpa is right around the 2.75 border line. do you think having healthcare experience and an associate degree help me? I've heard a lot of good things from reading this board about the school.. i want to get in!!

do you know how they calculate repeated classes? any suggestions/comments on maybe what i should do to up my chances? take a couple more classes?

Hi,
I just wanted to put my 2cents in. I had applied to the St. Louis Chamberlain and did it after the deadline of July 15 for the fall semester and I still got in. If you want to get in for the spring semester, its probably not too late. Just get your application and transcripts in now so that you can start the process. Also, I had a friend who didn't finish her application process till 3 1/2 weeks before fall semester began, and she still got in.

Oh and as far as the staff and school, Love them! So far, I have had a great experience with Chamberlain. My teachers go out of their way to help you and they are very passionate about teaching.

I am glad you are having a great experience. I felt my online professors had a true passion for education. Many of my professors also held down full time jobs so they are living the nursing world and immediately share it with the students.

I'll try to answer some of your questions:
the sooner i take the a2 the better right? probably, yes

are there any changes to the admissions requirements? not that I know of, however when I applied for this past fall semester they didn't require a whole lot--- and just one semester later, they now require an interview, and the A2 test. So it would probably be good to keep checking back, although I don't expect a whole lot to change (for example though, now they also want a copy of your syllabus for any A&P classes taken).

I do not think they take into account the associates degree (I had a BA and it didnt seem to matter) however they do accept credits... and I'm really not sure about healthcare experience, sorry!

Make sure its obvious how willing you are to work hard and how passionate you are about nursing. You have a stronger chance of getting into Chamberlian if you go now, rather than wait.

This is a question for anyone who is enrolled or has graduated from the RN-->BSN program that is offered online through chamberlain.

I will be graduating from my ADN program in May...the deadline for the next session is July 15th. How heavy is the work load...if you just count the nursing courses...will I be able to work full-time (also do gen ed. courses transfer from a community college or do they want you to take them at devry?). I am also planning my wedding in october and I will be taking at least a week off for my honeymoon...will I be able to work my school around that or is it too intense?

I am full of questions and would love some information I have spoken with an advisor that has answered some of my questions I just want a "real life" response. Thank You
