Hi Czarr, I am currently a student at Americare and am in my last class of Role Transition. I know that the price for the LPN program went up it was $17000 when I started and for next year it will be $21000. They do accept a lot of credits if you have them from other schools for the pre-reqs such as Anatomy and Physiology if you took them separate at a community college they will count those for A&P1&2. Even though you do not have to repeat the class you can choose to audit it which means you can sit and listen and review but not take the tests. Unfortunately the prices for those classes are included in your tuition and cant be taken out if previously taken. ATI stands for Assessment Technology Institute. These are tests that are taken at the end of each class and should be a review of what you learned that semester. You have to test at a level 2 to “pass it” if you don’t they do give you a chance to retake it. At the end of this semester for me (Role Transition) I have to take my ATI exit exam. You have to score a certain percentage to pass and test out of the school so they will allow you to take your NCLEX exam. So all of the ATI’s at the end of each class should hopefully help you out on the exit exam, cross your fingers for me! They allow you to be a part-time student or full-time. I am a full-time student and work part-time and I find to actually have enough time to study and maintain pretty decent grades. I also just applied for financial aid, they just got it like 2 weeks ago so I tried to jump on that as soon as I can because I will be done soon. I myself applied to Harper and was put on a waiting list, some of my friends were on the waiting list for 4 years!!!! I really didn’t want to keep waiting so I figured just pay the big bucks for it now and it will pay for itself when I am done and will be able to work sooner. Let me know if you have any other questions, I would be happy to get back to you : )
