Hi!

I love the west and currently have family in WA and friends in Lewiston. Idaho Falls is very scenic from the pictures I have seen. I have never lived in Idaho and really want to make a trip out there soon. I will relocate next summer somewhere so I need your input.

I'm looking for a location that has more than one hospital, a university so I can return for my MSN and plenty of outdoor activities. Lewiston/Clarkston each have a hospital but does anyone currently live around Lewiston and work in Clarkston or any ID residents travel to WA to work? Is that feasible and is the pay more in eastern WA?

I'm not sure where to settle and I'm open to any suggestions! Please brag on your town and/or hospital. I would love to hear how happy you are !!!:wink2:

I'm going to be 110% honest. If I were you, I would go to northern Idaho. Idaho Falls suchs. I did my clinicals at EIRMC and there were only 2 floors I enjoyed working on. The people are snooty. If you are not LDS/mormon, than it is difficult to fit in. The pay is ok, but probably better up north. Lewiston has the Uof I and Pulman is just across the border. So you would have 2 universities to choose from. Idaho Falls is 45-60 minutes away from Pocatello and Idaho state university. And I think that northern Idaho is much prettier, even though I live down here. :twocents:

Yes, unless you are Mormon I would avoid Idaho Falls like the plague. If you are not Mormon, you will have a hard time getting and keeping a good job. Really not a good place to live if you are at all liberal (if you think Rush Limbaugh is too liberal, it's really the place for you :D). Had the misfortune of living in that area for six years. It is the most beautiful of areas, but the people leave something to be desired. Lewiston etc. is very close to Pullman and WSU and UofI in Moscow. A bit less conservative than Idaho Falls.
