Just finished talking with my sister-in-law who is a recently graduated RN, now in Texas. She was encouraging me to pursue a career in nursing. I worked closely with my Mom during her 2-1/2 year battle with cancer and enjoyed all the medical ins and outs, although we lost her about a year ago. How do you go about becoming an LPN. I live in Mountain Home and work full-time. Oh ... I turn 50 this year, too! My sister-in-law went back to school when she was 49. What do y'all think?

Question Getting started ...
Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on the best way to get started or how to look into getting started in the Mountain Home area?

I live over in southeastern Idaho now but I did go to BSU to get my RN (LONG time ago!). I don't know of any program in Mt. Home, but I am pretty sure there is an LPN program in Boise as well. I would suggest calling BSU nursing dept. (or checking online). I'm sure they could help you. Good luck!! Go for it!

Check out the colleges & universities in your area, schedule an appointment with a student advisor, they'll help you get going with your prereqs. I went back to school when I was 43. Good luck you can do it.
