Where can I find them?

I was just wondering if there is a section on here (I looked but didn't find one) for Christian Nurses? Now, I know that a lot of the nurses that are one this site consider themselves Christians, but some of the advice that I see on some of the posts are not what I consider "Christian advice." I know that we all have our different beliefs even from one Christian to another, but I was just wondering if there is a section devoted strictly to christian nurses.

There isn't a specific area for that, but you will find a lot of Christian nurses. One of the goals of All Nurses is to encourage the nursing profession to come together as a group. Adding boards for seperate religions, political groups, cultures, etc. would be counter-productive and tend to divide and segregate the community.

Feel free to post topics about ways that your religion impacts nursing, but I don't believe that All Nurses wants posters to begin religious or political debates.

Absolutely agree- and I'm a Christian (no matter how someone may perceive me ).

I have to admit, OP, I got a chuckle from your title. I don't think Allnurses is meant to be a site for religious get togethers, but the link above is where you should post if you want some sort of religious discussion.

Thanks for the link. Guess I aughta check out the regs and links on here before posting.

And before anybody flames me, I had only the best of intentions when I posted the question. I will say that I know that some of the subscribers here are not christian by their own admission, and I am not expecting christian answers from them. I also do not know who are and who are not, or what religion anyone is.

So, I will check out the link that the previous poster suggested and we can all just ignore this post.

    Thanks!

There is a thread around here somewhere that I think was called "Are You a Christian Nurse?" (or something along that line), that was very popular for a long time and had hundreds of posts, as I recall. It's probably located in the Ethics, Philosophy and Religion forum........if you can't find it, it's probably archived somewhere on the site and you'd want to ask the administrators about it.

To be absolutely frank with you, I'll say honestly that Christianity and other 'religious' discussions are frowned upon here, mainly because they tend to be rather divisive (and to cause the non-believers among us to go apoplectic, which is not good for their blood pressure). Even among Christians themselves---ourselves---there is a great deal of disagreement as to what constitutes the proper role for our faith as it pertains to our work as nurses; that's one of the reasons the owner of this site prefers to have few, if any, discussion of religious topics. Things get ugly, and suddenly you have a bunch of so-called Christians calling each other out and arguing the finer points of biblical tradition. And that is not what AllNURSES is for.

That said.......there are a lot of nurses of all faiths here who love to sit around and talk about what the Lord has done in our lives. We simply have to keep it in the right forum. :redpinkhe
