Introducing the Content Navigation Bar

  1. 2
The screenshot below is the Content Navigation bar. It's found throughout the site. It's a great way to filter topics by content type. The idea behind the Content Bar is to improve user experience. We wanted to make it easy for you to find articles, reviews, photos, etc on any forum you visit.

So, how do we find our favorites? I clicked on my name and when I click on Favorites it says "oops..." and nothing is there. Something is missing in the new design.

What steps did you do to get this error message? Trying to squash all the bugs.

Going to the breakroom, clicking on new content now brings up all content, not just breakroom content. Also, as a platinum member, I though ads weren't seen except for the main page. I now have ads here, there, and everywhere.

Oh the breakroom ... keep forgetting about that.

I will look into the ad issue. Thanks for reporting these bugs.

Using the "what's new" button. Also, is the mark all as read button still around?

I'm very confused by this new design. Previously, on any page, I could find a "last 24 hrs" to see what is being posted.

If you are interested in feedback: I do not find this new setup easy to use at all. The pages are cluttered and hard to navigate, features that I used regularly, such as the "new topics" feature don't seem to be there. I can't stand seeing the ads all over the place. Also, that sick yellow banner at the top, (it never seems to go very far away) is very offputting and makes me think the site is back in 1997. I'm sorry, but have to vote this as the worst iteration in all the years I have been following the site, including the years I lurked before joining.
