I am a new hospice nurse case manager (3 months), and I need some good resources. I know I will learn with experience, but I don't want my current patients to suffer because i don't have any yet! I need to know what symptoms I can expect with the different terminal illnesses and my options for symptom management (pharm and nonpharm). Maybe a textbook would be best, but they are pricey, so I don't want to purchase one without some recommendations.
Thank you for sharing!

Welcome to hospice nursing!
My go to reference is the Primer of Palliative Care. It isn't inexpensive, but has so much useful info. It's small/ light enough that it goes with me. Primer of Palliative Care, 6th Edition | AAHPM
If you aren't already a member of HPNA, I would also recommend that. Lots of good info and resources.
