    Well...as of 6:33am, it is all over. But listen to all that God was able to give me...
    1. I was there. They called at 11:30pm last night and told me to come quick. So I had all night to sit on his bed and comfort him.
    2. It was peaceful. I believe he went to Heaven. There was absolutely no sense of evil at all in the room.
    3. I didn't have to make a decision about the vent--his heart stopped.
    4. I didn't have to second guess myself about the CPR part. His HR and Sat just kept getting lower so I know that the risk of brain damage would have been immense if they had tried to revive him.
    I can't believe it's over. He has been such a fighter and almost super human for a long time. Thank you so much for your support and prayers.
    Aw, honey. I'm sorry to hear this. With faith, he did go with God. I have been praying for you and now I will pray for even more strength. Everything happens for a reason. You have been made "super human" yourself. Hang on to God's almighty hands and take strength in his promises. 1 Peter 5:7 says to put your all of your anxieties in Him and He will take care of it.

    I pray that God gives you wisdom as to what to do; double strength, both for you and your daughter, and for you to get through school. I'm so sorry, but please know that you ARE NOT ALONE! God is there. He is carrying you now as we speak. Cling to God and hold on to your daughter extra tight. God bless you. Please PM if you want to talk or anything.

    Your sister in Christ,
    Mave.

    Thanks for the warm thoughts and prayers. I don't know how I would have gotten this far without you guys. As I said in my original post, I felt the Lord telling me to post my need here. I hope you guys don't forget me.

    We're a cyberfamily! That's what family is for, to be there for each other even online. You will not be forgotten.

    You can view my dh's obit at www.jconline.com in today's paper (01/14/06). But you all know that his life was so much more than the obit says. I could have written volumes. His funeral service is going to be very personal. DD (JoEllen) painted him a tiny airplane for Christmas and that is going to be in his casket along with a tiny glass figurine guitar that he had. We have two pictures that I had enlarged for him (Like 2' x 3') that will be displayed, plus the home will do a rememberance video. Also, during the service I'm going to have "Danny Boy" played (he was named after that song) and a song that Dan wrote called "Rescue Me" (beautiful song about being saved by grace) and one of his friends is going to sing "Amazing Grace". During the viewing, I'm going to have Dan's music playing in the background. At the graveside, JoEllen wants to release balloons up to Heaven. Plus it helps so much that our preacher was one of Dan's best friends. Sound good?

    That sounds like a beautiful eulogy, Joey. I read the obituary. You are correct, I am sure his life could speak volumes.

    The plans you have for his funeral sound beautiful as well. I will be there in spirit. {{{{HUGS}}}}
