With all the focus on electronic records, I wanted to do a quick check on the state of current technology for home visits...

    1) Is your charting software relatively new and easy to use?

    2) Software company (McKesson, Cerner, etc)?

    3) Are you using laptops, ipads, or android pads?

    4) Are you connected to your software via server or does 'the program' reside on the laptop and require database synchronization?

    5) How's your internet connections? Fast, slow, erratic, unreliable?

    Thanks

    Used to use McKesson.
    On laptop
Connected to internet if at home or office but still had to "transfer" to send or receive updated data
    No internet in the field

    Now use Homecare Homebase
    On 10' tablet
Connected to internet always but have to "sync" for up to min data
Internet speed in field about 1-2min. BUT area so rural most places I dont get signal.

I liked McKesson. .....dislike homecare homebase bc too repetitive, lengthy, not hospice specific, and down right aggrevating.
