What is meant by units in home health if you are required to at work or do six units a day?
Units are assigned to the type of visit in order to quantify the minimum amount of work, i.e. patient contacts, that one is required to perform each day if one is salaried. For example, a start of care may be assigned 2 points while a routine visit is assigned one point, and maybe a resumption of care visit is given 1.5 points.
Thanks. Does you company assign these points are is it government assigned?
Each employer assigns the units. Usually quite similar from agency to agency.
For one example, my salaried position is 7 units per day. SOC/resumption is 3 units, discharge is 2, routine visit is one.
