Hello everyone! I have been an RN for about 5 years and just recently got into the home health field. Still feeling my way around but enjoying it.
I have a question related to teaching patients. I know one of the biggest parts of this job is teaching and I am very surprised to find the neither of the two agencies I work for have booklets or protocol type teaching materials. Just wing it, I guess. I have been on the internet and looking up info but if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Thanks so much

Bumping this back up because I'm just starting in HHC, actually starting next Thursday, and I'm wondering about any teaching materials you use in your patient homes? I have been a hospital nurse for 10 years and am really looking forward to HHC nursing and I hope it's a change for the better. Have learned so much from the posts here on this site, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, it's greatly appreciated.

I go to a reputable site (ie:ADA) and find material that is suitable for my pt. I don't know about everyone else. Pam
