Some input please re peds in hh

Hello, all...
I am not new to hh, but I am new to peds. I am starting a new assignment this week, and I would really like some pointers. I had hard lessons with overprotective parents. I have 3 kids of my own. There is always a touch of OCD. Any of you ped nurses have any jewels of knowledge to bestow?
