Qualifications of a Director of Nursing


Hi everyone.

I wanted to know what is the guideline or qualifications to be a Director of Nursing for a Home Health Agency?

Please advise.

Most places I have worked require that the DON have at least a BSRN or a Masters of Nursing. These were mainly hospitals.

BSN or MSN. Minimum of five years home health experience.
