This is exactly it! I'm working 60 hours a week but I'm not getting paid for it. I took a big pay cut for this job. I barely make my bills. It's like I make only $15 an hour.

Well, it's been quite an experience. Friday was my last day full time. I was convinced to stay on per diem and it is the wise move as I don't have a full time position yet.
In my last week there was a roller coaster. My coworker including my boss are actually really going to miss me and begged me to stay! And took me out for dinner and drinks. One even actually cried , an MSW, who said " you're the only one in this place who keeps me sane". Throughout the company I was wished luck and was complimented highly which made me feel very good.
Of course it was do visit and catch up on paperwork week. Omg. I had hours upon hours. And my second to last days was given 2 SOC 's, husband and wife. Do u think I've touched this paperwork? No, I have to do it tonight. I don't know how they expected me to complete totally paper charted 2 SOC's in one day. On Friday night at 8pm I was on the phone for a half an hour with the md for these 2 patients. Which solidifies my decision not to do this full time anymore. My personal time is valuable to me and I want it back.
I'm a bit nervous without a full time position. I did actually work for my new per diem company last weekend and it was great! Easy and stress free! I'm not working this week, but next week I will be working a conversion at a major hospital in my area and i am looking forward to it. They are trying to get me on a different project too.
I'm also applying to my local hospital for a part time position. Part time for benefits I can do. I can do 2 shifts, not 3. So im hoping something good like PaCU come up! ( I really want to work PACU if I work bedside)
I'm going to keep faith I made the right decision for me and my daughter and that I find something more steady before I run out of money!
