Im in the interview process with a home health agency in the Kc area, I am moving from Ltc/rehab and need advice fast! Any Kc Rns willing to give an idea of a competitive wage for field/case mgt would be greatly appreciated!

I know youve been looking for estimations and I'm not from the area but one thing you can do, if you know the average base RN hourly rate for your level of experience, multiply that times 1.5 and that should be your basic visit rate, or close to it.

You should be expected to make 5-6 basic visits/day or 4-5 visits and 1 admit, once you're rolling. That'll give you an idea of wages if you're looking at per visit pay.

Hourly should be roughly that of a daytime MedSurg RN.

Thank you Libby, that figures out to close to their pay scale. I need to keep in mind the benefit of experience with a reputable company, my 3.5 years in HH was as an LPN and I should expect a pay cut from LTC.

We pay more than the local LTC's.

Great news, I spoke with a mentor for the company, the figures were wrong, the real numbers are better, competitive. I'm relieved and more excited about the prospect. I shadow tomorrow and will know by Friday if I'm hired. :yes!:
