Has anybody had any experience with Interim Home Health? I know that they are nation wide-I was just wondering if they would be a good agency to work for

Specializes in pedi, pedi psych,dd, school ,home health.

I know they have a branch office near me. I havent worked for them but have shared PDN cases with them; havent heard a lot of negative feed back; at least from the private duty side.

Thanks for the info!:nuke:

I've posted before about my negative experience when I applied for a job with Interim. They didn't bother to call my references and made me go through the entire new employee shebang with absolutely no follow up. There were HIPAA violations in the office that I observed. I make certain that I let everyone I meet know that they can expect this kind of treatment should they go there for a job or for services. No excuse for this. Another agency that acted in this manner toward me was Vitas. I will never approach either company again and like I said, I spread the word with potential employees and clients alike.

Specializes in OB, M/S, HH, Medical Imaging RN.

There are Interim Agencies throughout the US. The one I worked for was excellent. Just because one office is disorganized you shouldn't be discouraged from trying the agency.

I worked for an Interim agency. Although Interim is a national company, not all of the offices are part of the corporate office. Many of them are local franchises. They use Interim paperwork, P&P, etc and have to show they are giving a good standard of care in line with the corporate philosophy, but otherwise they are their own entity not totally part of the national chain. This means that what you could expect as far as a good agency could greatly differ from agency to agency (although this is the case with virtually any agency). You would probably do your best homework just by asking around within your community as to whether that individual agency has a good reputation for both patient care and employee satisfaction.
