How to get to home health

Hi, I am a new grad in a tight job market. I was able to get a job at a rehab hospital in birmingham. So far it has been a good experience. I am learning skills, and I will start ACLS training. But I want to get to home health. I was unable to get a job in acute care. Will this delay my chances or will I have to still go through the "regular" hospital?
