Home health Nursing (NJ), QUESTION what SHOULD I DOOO?!?!

HOpefully I can explain this in the least words possible lol

HERE IT GOES:

I am an New grad RN (asn) in NJ. I just got my start in the nursing field thru a Home Health Agency in Nj. I am also a single mother of one 2yo (soon to be 3!) little boy.

At job #1(current JOB) I am being payed 25/hr , no shift differential, no benefits, and as of right now they are giving me these shifts that are 3 hours long which isn’t going to work i need $$ if I’m not going to have the benefits. I accepted this job about 2 months ago all has gone well. ILOVE LOVEEE my patients and working with the company has been a pleasure.I have yet to be asked to travel even 10 minutes outside of the city in which i live which is a perk. 20-28 HOURS PER WEEKS IS ON AVERAGE WHAT I WORK HERE.

NOW!!!

Job#2 (prosepctive emplyer) I RECENTLY was given an offer at another home health agency around the same area as my current which offered me 27$/hr 1.50 shift differential for Over night and week ends .. and if you combine to do an OVERNIGHT WEEKEND shift differential goes as high as $3.oo.. They also offer health and dental for family as long as you maintain a 30hrs/week on average. Th only difference is that i may be required to travel outside of my for some cases. That is really not a big deal for me i have reliable transportation and if the money and benefits are right I have no issue.

THE ISSUE..

I am SERIOUSLY considering JOB#2 but I have no idea what step to take first here are my options that i am considering

1.Speak to my current supervisor and present this opportunity that i have been presented with and see if they can match. or offer me something similar so that i remain with the same company

2. Cut hours with job 1 to maybe one day a week . and pick up hours with JOB 2 enough to fill the 30hr requirement to qualify for benefits.

3. submitt a nice letter of resignation to JOB#1 and job accept job #2 and RUN.

If there is anyone that can give me advice on how to go about this please feel free to comment. Im new to this new grad lol so Im not accustomed to these time of confrontations lol Although it can be positive I feel so uncomfortable with the whole thing, just need some advice.

EXCUSE MY LACK OF PUNCTUATION I WROTE THIS IN A RUSH LOL

I would go with option 2, at least for the time being. Always best to keep one's toe in the door because you never know what is down the road. And when it comes to hh, the more agencies you are on speaking terms with, the better.

I would be very cautious leaving acute care (especially a desirable specialty like OB). It can be hard to get back into the hospital once you leave.
