I am wondering about your agency/company policies on HIV/Hep C exposure.
Do you have consent forms for each client to sign, that gives the company consent to contact their physician in case of exposing a Nurse to HIV/Hep C?
Can some one explain the procedure for the management team when a Nurse is exposed to HIV/Hep C?

  4. On Admit our patients sign a consent for further testing in the event of such exposure. Both the patient and nurse will then have the necessary labs or further testing done and an incident report is done and sent to the required agencies.
  5. We do not have the patients sign a consent like that, but it is a good idea. If we a nurse with a needle stick they are sent to the lab for testing
