1yr Med/surg now HH?

HI
I always wanted to be a HH nurse, I have been working on a med/surg floor night shift for a year now I am applying to many types of HH positions. I live outside of Philly and have applied to a company called Southeastern Health Service and others. The Bayada that is around my house is mostly peds which I do not have exp in. I also work as a RN supervisor PRN in LTC and worked there as a CNA for years prior.
Any advise would be wonderful.

One good thing about HH is that the patients are stable enough to be home, not like the instability/acuity on the floor. I was scared to death the first time I admitted a ped to HH...she had hypoplastic left heart syndrome with 3 cardiac surgeries under her belt and had a NG tube receiving TF's. I was frantic, scared to death. But the family had been taught most of the care before they left the hospital. You will do fine. It will be scarey at first, but you will enjoy the freedom and the flexibility that goes with HH. I schedule patients around my schedule, and theirs too of course. But if my daughter has a school event, I dont have to miss it because Im at work. I just reschedule my patients so that I can see them around it and I dont miss it. Good luck.
