I worked w/ a man that was facing surgery for severe back pain. As a "last resort" he agreed to physical therapy which included excercise to strengthen his stomach muscles.

After several months he was not only pain free, but lost enough weight to get off of all his hypertensive meds - bp under control.

Don't know what excercises were included, but I'll never forget this story.

Good luck.

I agree with the physical therapy idea, as well as good ole therapeutic massage.

I see a chiropractor on a regular basis for my back pain. It is extremely effective and I rarely have to take any motrin. I have found therapeutic massage to be very helpful too. Good luck

The following supplements help me:

turmeric, bromelain, ginger, and boswellia

Look them up on www.wholehealthmd.com for more information.

I can not take ibuprofen so I use these instead.
