Passed the Exit RN HESI with 934

Nursing Students HESI

Published

Hello all,

As the subject indicates I did pass. 160 questions. 2 and half hours. I did well I suppose. I didn't prepare as much as some of my classmates, who were not as fortunate. I only did maybe 50q/day for about 3-4 weeks.

I'm told the the HESI is harder than the NCLEX. If anyone can give me any feedback on that.

If I passed with above a 900, how good are the chances I will pass the NCLEX?

Thanks!

Exactly what I tell everyone that asks..............utilize those strategy rules!!!

Just wanted to update:

I passed with a 1000+ !!!!

Honestly, it boils down to test taking strategies. Read chapter 5 of the Saunders book. Also read the sticky on here over HESI strategies. Saunders questions helped give me a solid knowledge base but that's it. The questions aren't challenging whatsoever.

I believe HESI has adaptive quizzing.

Exactly what I tell people that ask about how to prepare for Exit............I tell them to practice questions with the strategies!!! Congrats on a great score.

Was your HESI exit exam similar to your Hesi Exit RNV1? We took the Hesi Exit RN1 about a month ago and I got 1021, but I'm hearing that a lot of people are going down on the second. I'm not sure if it's because of nerves or because some ppl took it late in the day, but I'm taking it tomorrow so I'm hoping my scoring doesn't fall.

Did you find that your exit rnv1 scores were similar to your rnv2 scores? I took the first one a month ago and scored a 1020, but I'm hearing people saying they went down with the second one. I've been mostly reading the hesi book. For me, it's always helped more to know the content and try to understand it in simpler terms like why would this lead to this issue, and why might this help. So that's what I've been doing.

it is a completely different test... i know people who scored well for their HESI and failed the NCLEX... i passed with the bare minimum... didn't review/study. ended up with an an "A" for the course... i honestly, do not know how in the world this happened. take what i say with a grain of salt.

I take my NCLEX PN this Friday and had been wondering if the HESI exam results were indicative of how I would do on the NCLEX. I had pretty high scores on the HESI but after reading some of these posts, I see that it really doesn't reflect how well I do. I guess it's back to studying for me. :)

I have had terrible time with exit ATI. RN comprehensive. The school wont give me my transcript's . Thinking of another way ,since I graduated December 2013 .I may be going somewhere for Hesi since I have been LPN for 26 years. What test is easier and how can I study for HESI.

I take my Hesi in a week and I would love to read over the Hesi strategies. Where can I find them?

thanks!
