One more small note, I do not believe the questions will get harder as you go because lot of my classmate got comparatively easy questions in the second attempt than the first one..However, you can not rely on anybody at this point.. your success is completely on your hands..

On July 17th the city colleges gave the hesi exam and no one passed they gave version 3 and the students are out of luck this was the second time they were tested and their only choice is to take their whole 2nd year of school over (and pay again) and then they can take the hesi only 1 more time and if they should fail again they get no diploma or chance to take hesi or nclex. They can try and get into another nursing school but they can not transfer their classes or credits thats why this is unfair the hesi is much harder than the nclex and if you finish nursing school then you should get a chance at the nclex. Instead they get nothing except debt and they never get to become a nurse

This is so true! The school knows if you pass Hesi, you will pass NCLEX. This makes the school pass rate at 100% and makes them more attractive towards future students. They don't care if 1 student pass Hesi, as long as that 1 student pass Nclex = 100%

I am coming from a school which requires 950 to pass the hesi, so I can understand the pain than anyone. I am trying to say to all my fellow mates to focus more on hesi book than anything else rather than focusing on any rumors(no matter they are right or wrong). In my school 95% of the students passed with above 950, most of them had to take it two times though. It could be because of several reasons but HARD WORK WORTH! best of luck!

I am using the HESI study guide and CD and can't get my scores on the CD out of the 70-75% range on Med/Surg. People have told me the practice exams on the CD's are a lot harder than the actual exams. Does anyone have any input? I take a "practice" HESI at school tomorrow and I'm scared out of my mind!

Yes! The CD is way harder! I got in the 60-70% range on my practice tests and passed HESI with flying colors!

Hi guys, Please somebody can help me....I didn't past the Hesi the first time , this Hesi test is more dificult that the board test I can not belive it but its true, please guys send any information that you can have.

thank you

Betty

I agree with what nanciepaul said about getting the HESI book and CD. (I assume you mean the Evolve book with studyware CD.) I failed HESI the first time and I was using Saunders and Kaplan. I passed HESI the 2nd time by using the Evolve HESI/NCLEX book and CD (Evolve is the company that makes the HESI test). I hated to buy yet another book, but I'm glad I did because I would not have passed the 2nd time without it. Do every practice test on the CD and look at the rationales! HESI is not exactly the same as NCLEX and I didn't understand what they wanted until I did their questions over and over. Good luck! :nurse:

Can anyone tell me how many RN HESI exit exam versions there are? I know for sure that there are 4, but I've heard a small percentage say that there is versions 5,6,7. I know my friends that graduated from another schol only had versions 1-4. I know my school has versions 1-4 as well, but I don't know if they have more than that. I also know that they have retest 1-3 and maybe 4, but I'm not sure.

I thought v3 was the hardest, and v4 was the easiest. They are supposed to be weighted equally, but they are not. there were only 9 people who passed the v3 from our class.[/

That is really depressing to hear!!! :scrying:

i have the HESI CD too does yours have 4 tests that you can re take? Anyways yes the HESI CD was harder but nothing like the test. Many students failed the HESI test only 8 out of 52 students passed. Plus those students that paid $350 dollars for a cram course for preparation to pass HESI all failed. I had the HESI V-1 test. it was very hard i got a 550 i dont know if it was that the questions were more in depth or what but on the practice CD it was more to the point the HESI test was more advanced it felt like. Many students that are straight A's stated it was insanely hard and the school is going to offer a free D&D course propbably cause how low everyone scored
