Nursing Students HESI

Published

I just failed a second time and I'm getting really discouraged. Now I have to wait almost 3 months to take it again. I was thinking about paying 97.00 for the hesistudy.com site, but I'm not sure. Does anybody have any suggestions? I'm all ears, and would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I have taking the hesi twice, and failed both times. I have a Suaunders book and cd, a hesi book and cd, and I'm thinking about paying the 97.00 for hesistudy.com. Any suggestions?! Please, and thank you!

Hi NursingStudent216 I am so sad to hear that but the exit HESI is a very good predictor so don't be to sad use it as a stepping soon. You are graduating nursing school so you can do this I am sure of it!! You have three months to get back on the ball... Login to your evolve and look at the areas you scored low in and look at the remediation plan that specified for you. (DO NOT ONLY USE THIS TO REMEDIATE, its a big mistake) that is just to see where you are weak. Use a book such as Saunders to read over those areas (I don't suggest a text book because it has way tooooo much Info) but Saunders is great for an overall review. After reading over those areas take a 100 question test one area at a time and and see how you do... Look to see if you are getting test fatigue (meaning after a doing of questions your brain gets tired, if that is the case practice by doing the longer tests). The Hesistudy site has really good information as well and now they even have broken down many of the categories so you have many real HESI like questions to practice with! Good Luck it there is anything I can help with let me know!! and remember you can do this!

Hesistudy is good. And evolve questions that go with the hesi book.

I might not have taken the HESI but I have taken the TEAS not once not twice not three times.... I have realized that my problem was that I was not trying hard enough. Also considering the stressful circumstances in my life at the time. Sometimes we want it sooo bad that we make desperate attempts without being fully prepared. That was me for sure not too long ago. Now I'm devouring every piece of information to get me ready for the test. I'm memorizing ALL sections that I'm not comfortable with and if I need more background info then I do the search whether on google, a book and even cliff notes.com I found to be pretty good (in fact awesome resource for background info in almost any subject). So sit down regroup, gather all your weak points and study HARD. Teaching yourself and saying it out loud is a great tool. I realized that we can't compare ourselves with how many hours people devote to study something or how well they do on their first try. We must simply bring the focus to what WE need to do to achieve our goal and the rest will follow.
