Lonestar ADN 2012

Students HESI

Published

Hello everybody. I am a pre-nursing student at Lonestar college and I was planning on taking the Hesi test Monday. I will be applying to North Harris as my first choice and Montgomery as my second choice. So far I have 8 points out of the 12 point scale and once I take the Hesi, that will determine if I will be accepted or not. I am currently taking Pharmacology. I have a 3.5 GPA and I have taken all my pre-req's plus some. The only part of the HESI Exam I am worried about is the A&P section. I hear all kinds of reviews on it and I am extremely nervous. If anybody can shed some light on this section of the HESI, I would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds like you are on the right track. I was accepted at NH Fall 2011... Most of the studeagree hl applied with me & were accepted had recently taken A&P so the concepts were still fresh. The hesi guide is an excellent review... Good luck!

Don't worry about the A&P. The HESI review is very helpful. Do all the math problems. Even the reading and comprehension sections contain information that can help with some of the other sections.

I attended the infromation session at North Harris and Kristina Raymond told me that as long as you are in the 11 to 12 range you should be fine. She didnt say a certain number, she just said that range, which is good lol (hopefully). Please let us know how the test was!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!

As far as the test goes... I made a 92 on the a&p part,84 on math, and 87.3 on the composite English... I was hoping I did better on the English sections since that's what counts on the score chart. But oh well , we will see What happens. The vocab is super random and all over the place. I used the study guide for the vocab. You will do fine! Don't stress over it, it's not really all that hard. For the a&p section review your notes from class and use the study guide. I also used floridatrail2006's website which was a life saver!

Read up on it last month, and it sounded promising...
