Hesi A2

Nursing Students HESI

Published

I will be taking my Hesi A2 entrance exam in less than a month and I'm a little nervous about the AP section. I will have two chances to take this test (one in February and one in September) before I apply for the program in October. To be competitive to get into the program I need to score at least 95% overall. The five sections I have to take are Reading, Grammar, Vocabulary, Math and AP. Any advice on this test would really be appreciated!

Search my name "floridatrail2006." I wrote a review of the test when I took it. Hope that helps.

Hello! I am taking the HESI at the end of this month and I was wondering if there were any questions over physics. There is a section in the exam book but I'm not even required to take that so i was just wondering where that comes into play. Thank you:idea:

Where did you find this?

I take my Hesi on the 24th of this month. im scared for the a&p because i know i truly didnt learn it, even thou i made A in the first part and a B in the second, it was all memory smh

does anybody know of a practice test i can take ?

Anybody know if the Hesi is graded on a Curve? Im looking at my results and it looks like I missed more questions than the actual grade???

It varies by school, the grading that is. You can't look at a HESI score like a typical test. The instructors tailor a test to their program's need and therefore, you can never really know the true "meaning" of your score. However, I think the rule of thumb is above an 85% is good, and higher is good as well. I don't think the HESI determines you overall chances getting in. It's one piece of the puzzle.

Thanks for the response, the reason why I ask, Some of my sections I missed more than the test actually states. For example I missed 5 questions in AP but it states I got 22-25 correct? how come... Im not complaining but I would like to know for others if its graded on some type of curve in comparison to other students.

finished my Hesi today and passed. Let me tell you all, that i stressed out more than I should have. The test was so basic, I felt like I was in high school. And I have been out of HS for close to twenty years. I reviewed for about two hours the day before.

Thank you all for your posts regarding study tips and what not. I appreciate all the encouraging posts as well. Good luck to you all with your own testing.
