Im getting ready to take the HESI A2 in september. Most people are saying that the vocab is hard..What type of vocab words are there? Is it A&P? Or a mix of all types of words? Thanks for your replys!

Study the math section of the book more and be able to get 100 on the practice test. also dont rely on the book for any of the science material. study your notes. the study guide is garbage when it comes to studying the science portions

    Candwloc,

For me the vocab was the hardest, there are only a few words that are in the Study Guide (4 only). I have never met the words that were in the test nowhere in the books I read. But maybe vocab was hard for me because English is my second language, who knows.
    Good lack to you.

    hi everyone..

i am taking my hesi exam this friday... i have studied every day for 4 hr or maybe even more. i left my social life and ignored my family for this test. i really need some one to give me last few words about this test. i dont know what to expect for a &p since alot of people thought it was hard. believe it or not..i suck at reading comprehension part because i get bored reading boring things and then i dont pay attention. is reading comprehension part simple and easy to find the answer?

any suggestion would help me alot. please help..

    thank you

Another suggestion to the original poster---

Don't believe everyone when they say they scored a 99%, 95%, or whatever high score they give you. They're just trying to one-up you by bolstering their low self-esteem. Everyone and their brother scores high on these standardized tests, are better than all their classmates, have a 4.78 GPA, etc.

    Hi everyone...

I did okay on my test..I got overall score of B but I did great on AP got an A.. I thought it was easy (maybe because I studied my butt off) I took like 50 mins on all the sections but I took like 15 mins on AP part (it could be that it had 30 questions comparing to 50 on others)...

One thing I would like to tell everyone.. practice your speed with math programs. YES they are easy but it takes time to convert it from fraction to percent or other way around. Also double check your answers if you use calculator b.c when I pressed 100 it would show up 10. so double check your answers..

Vocabulary was the hardest for me

Do not worry...you will do GREAT ...

On the HESI entrance exam, were fractions a big portion of the math test?

Does anyone know if we have to know all of the different parts of speech and terms for the grammer section of the HESI? Let me know! Thanks!

I just took the HESI today. Math....huge number of questions covering ratios and fractions, if you know those you will do well. NO algebra, it was very easy and all basic math. Oh, but do brush up on your conversions....pints to gallons, KG to g, ML to L, ounces to pints/gallons.
Vocab was a little trickier than I expected since it did have some anatomy terms that you needed to know....don't know why they didn't put that in the A&P section.
Grammer and Reading were pretty easy. No, you don't need to know all of the different parts of speech and terminology.
A&P was pretty specific and a bit tougher than I expected. Know meosis/mitosis....kidney....DNA....enzymes....serous membranes....
I took THREE practice A&P tests and none of the questions from those were on the real thing. I suggest reading an entire A&P textbook as preparation!
Chemistry and Biology were easier than I expected.
I'm SO glad to be done with it and know that I don't have to take it again!!
Good luck to all that haven't taken it yet.
