Hello,
I read this article but it's a bit complex.
http://hyper.ahajournals.org/cgi/reprint/45/4/575.pdf
I have an omron mx3 plus arm cuff monitor and my bp has changed in the last 4 years from about 135/80 (Pulse pressure 55) to about 148/85 (pulse pressure 63)
(depending on natural meds like garlic/onion/chilli and exercise impact etc)
Now, I have only recently found out about PP as an indicator of heart health.
So my question is about your experiences of patients with high PP that had big CV issues.
Also, I am a 34 yr old male, unfit, 5 ft 11 and the last 10 years have weighed at least 18.5 to 20 stones (currently 20 stones)
Based on your experiences, does pulse pressure tend to go up on heavier people?
Any extra info about PP would be very helpful....
There is info on the internet which I will try to absorb, but I also like to hear from people who actually deal with this day in day out.........My MAP is about 128.3mmHG at rest.
I am going to have a heart check soon. Is an echo cardiogram a good place to start?
