Weight Watchers and Curves

Anyone doing or have done Weight Watchers? Curves? I started WW last year, but had to quit due to money contraints. I am hoping to start back up once I get working. I have started going to Curves again (mom pays our membership). I like WW as it isn't an actual diet per se, more like relearning how to eat. Paying attention to what your eating and when. Curves I can do exercise-wise as its a set 30min 3 times a week. I can easily talk myself out of going for my 30 minutes though, I guess all of us can. I am determined to get some of this weight off as I have reached a weight I told myself over and over that I would NEVER attain....300lbs. Most people who look at me don't think I weigh nearly that much, but the scale doesn't lie. I physically feel ill most days, so I know in my heart I need to finally get down to business. But man is it so easy to NOT do something.

I started doing WW with my mom in January. After gaining an extra 20lbs since starting nursing school in Jan 08 I felt I needed to do something! I really don't feel deprived of food, then again I love fruits and veggies so thats not a real problem for me. The wt loss is slow going, but its pretty consistant to start with. Not sure how it will be in the long run. Good luck to you, its so hard to stay motivated to eat right and exercise when it feels so much better to lounge around and eat the good stuff haha!

Hard to stay motivated it right. When you know you need to do something, yet you can still find every excuse why not too....

Slow, consistant weight loss is the key I hear. Fast weight loss is usually water you gain it back almost as fast as you lose it.

I just wish WW didn't cost so much, or that insurance would finally figure out helping people lose weight that isn't surgery related would cost them LESS money in the long term.

I did Weight Watchers... started in July 2007. I did it online, never went to any meetings. I lost 35 pounds and I've kept it off too.

I signed up for Curves with a year contract and that was a huge mistake on my part. I was not really motivated and ready at the time. Wasted my money for a whole year.

I'm just doing a "refined eating plan", where I check all nutritional facts, etc. I've often thought about doing WW, but never followed through. I was kinda interested in Jenny Craig, but decided to do my own thing and so far, it's working. I've only been on this for a little over a week and am losing steadily...

I do exercise with the Wii Fit and other things. Slowly. Yes, weight off slowly will come closer to assuring that it does not get back on.

Good luck to ALL!!! And, wish me luck, too.
