Holiday Season and Weight management

Nurses Stress 101

Published

Ok this is the season of giving and we know all those family members that love to give. But darn, how does one maintain weight with all the delicious nibblings going on.What's a girl to do?:D

Ain't that the truth!! Our break room is full of high calorie, diet-busting, yummy stuff. Two approaches can be used. Put a piece of 2" pink tape over mouth when in break room!:D Or, summon all your willpower and have only a taste (smidgeon) of each holiday treat.

I've lost 4 pounds this month because I am exercising so as not to gain any weight this holiday season. I am just trying to keep moving as much as possible. I also have only been having a bite here and there of things I really love and are special to the season. I have been keeping veggies with me too as the crunch helps. lol

This is not even an option:D, will consider the second alternative.Lol

The four pounds you lost, I found it:(. But here on out, I'm going to be good.Veggies all the way..:uhoh21:

Personally, I enjoy all the holiday goodies and worry about the weight after the holidays are over. Holidays are stressful enough without adding another stressor to the list. I know that I can take control of a few pounds when all the crazy is over:cookies::candycane::giftbox:

Ughhh tell me about it.Last night I could barely chart (there was no room)as the nurses station was filled with boxed chocolates, candy, cakes ect.The junk food is taking over! I have been trying to watch my weight and sadly this wasnt helping.I would love some tips,feedback.......

Eat the treats at the holidays selectively. Choose what is truly worth the calories and the exercise to work it off. Have a taste of foods that you would not ordinarily have access to any other time of the year. Stay physically active. Suggest other food gifts that are healthy for your workplace.
