Wow, Tweety. Not a recipe I'd have come up with on my own, but sounds good .

Hi to the rest of you.

I've been working every day (at least a half shift) for the past week and I'm beat . I did pretty well on the food until today; I just didn't have the energy to make any sort of wise choices. Caffeine and sugar were the foods du jour. I guess the redeeming feature is that I've been too tired at night to do more than eat a bowl of cereal for dinner.

And hugs to Gentle. I've got a passel of kids and being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever done. Depression is a heavy burden, too. I hope it gets better for you.

    Hi Tweety!!! Thanks so much!!!

Ok you guys, I have been awful!!! I'm gonna try to behave now because I am really starting to feel it! I have class tonight & my goal is to stop by the fruit stand on my way and pick up a bunch of fresh produce (I believe cantaloupe & watermelon are in season out here right now) and work on filling up with that stuff instead of junk food throughout the week!!!

Hi everybody, hope all is well - just breezing thru at light speed again today, lol!!!

    ((((((HUGS))))))) to all!

Got in a good walk this morning then had some delicious fruit for breakfast. I love melons and they taste so good this time of year .

A couple of long naps later and I've mostly recovered from my long work stretch .

Hiker, ain't nothing like a good nap. I was napping tonight because I'm going out later and danged if a the doorbell didn't ring.

doing better. called the nanny service to come help with the kids so that i could rest and complete other tasks. definitely a good idea, that did help.

trying to get some extra sleep and eat better. this is also helpful.

    off to work tomorrow.

Hi all, still doing pretty well w/ my food, not as much exercise as I should. Can't get the lead out (more like, the humidity!)

now that's just plain mean...i pre-nap before going out for the evening, myself. i prefer to think of it as a result of night shifts over time and not a sign i'm getting older .

a nanny service? that's the best idea i've heard in ages. if they would only send along housekeeping and a cook...

good job on the food . nothing like july's humidity to melt you right away.

we had fun today. took the kids to the arcade, did a lot of that dancing, you know the one where you have to follow the steps. no need for the machine to boo, i say, i was doing the best i could . anyway, it was fun. we went out for lunch, i had a salad and a little bit of delicious garlicky noodles on top for flavor--just a bit. very satisfying.

and i'm off this weekend .

Hi gang. Getting back on the bandwagon and survived day #1 of a lower cal/portioned controled vegan diet. Lots of good fruits and vegetables. My problem is I can't go to sleep hungry, so I'm saving a snack of berries just prior to going to bed. Lots of good antioxidant foods today too.

SOUNDS like fun - altho I think I'd prefer doing that WITHOUT an audience!

Hi guys! Aaaaah sleep, I remember that from some time long, long ago, lol!

Sounds like y'all are surviving, same here! Ugh, I feel like a balloon, I have so dropped the ball on the exercise/good eating what with school coming to a close and I need to get back on top of it because I am feeling it now. Blah!

I think I'll start today- I haven't eaten anything yet today, so I can start with a fresh slate! Ok, no more messing around - no junk food for me as of right now! I can do this! I can survive nursing school thus far surely I can get myself back into the health groove! I need to get some groceries tonight so I'll try to keep it on the healthy level while I do that, hopefully having good food around will help me.

    (((((((HUGS)))))))))) Everybody!!!!!!!!

I went to a nutrition store owned by a bodybuilder and his "built" wife.

Bought some soy/whey protein shake for women and have been having that for breakfast. Doing low carb the rest of the day (yes, again ).

Too smoky to do much outside exercise but have been walking and biking with my son in the morning when it is not so smoky.

My daughter is still doing the vegan thing and one of her college roommates wants to do the same. Easier to eat healthy with a partner, I think. Someone to hold you accountable and vice versa.

Yotsa Yuck Tweets . . . .(oh, went to a Thai/Vietnam restaurant and had sticky rice and mango prior to the low carb deal . . . .omg that is so good).

Steph, I think I'm with you on the low-carb thing. That always seems to work to give me a boost to healthier eating, so I'll give that a shot. Dang-it! LOL! Oh well, back on track!!!

    Have an awesome day!
