Oink Oink , I have returned for a quick update.

Jury duty today. I had to park 2 blocks from the courthouse so I walked instead of taking the trolley to my destination. It was a good walk. I could feel my spirit sinking this morning while driving to jury duty. After the first walk, I felt much better. No more sinking feelings for the rest of the day. I walked back to my car for lunch and drove to grab a bite. After lunch I parked the car and walked back to the courthouse. When all was finished, I walked back to my car again. I feel much better.

Those moments can be hard. :heartbeat I'm glad you guys understand where I'm coming from. :heartbeat I'm having a hard time right now with all the kids therapies, needs, etc. I'm not sleeping well and I'm struggling with the depression. Yet here comes God right on time as usual.

This week the boys are in vacation bible school all week which gives me 2.5 hours per night to myself. Jury duty allowed me to just sit. I needed that. I read one of my books for helping me deal with the kids' behaviors. And that was good too. I need to make progress with the kids and figure out how to improve communication in our home.

I fielded a few phone messages on the way home, treated myself to a piece of cake then dinner. Now I'm finishing up my emails and will be preparing the kids' daily chore list. Maybe this will help clarify for everyone what must get done. We'll try it. Well, if I can finish it before conking out. I'm tired. :zzzzz

Off to work tomorrow, then hopefully Friday will be a down day for me. I don't want to go anywhere or do anything.

BTW, good news, took the kids to the dentist on Tuesday. None of the dental staff members were bitten by my children. Hurray!!!! I can't even begin to express how elated dh and I were over this milestone. In addition to that, no cavities!!

    Well, have a good weekend.

(((((((((( gentle )))))))) yep I always feel better too when I get moving! Other than while I am at work when I feel like ... bad... yesterday heat and humidity were so bad I almost threw up... sigh...

So sorry about the depression hon - ((((((((gentle )))))))) how bout a second hug? Never hurts - have a real person give that one to you for real for me, ok?

Yes having time to oneself when there are kids is ESSENTIAL I thank God today for all the people that helped me out that way w/ my son when I was an overwhelmed single mom! Yeow! sometimes... and I did struggle w/ depression sometimes when he was young.

As to your dental miracle, well I say AMEN! to fewer dental records implanted on human flesh! YAYYY!

Nice to catch up on everyone. :icon_hug:

Had to chuckle - the paper today has an article that states "Atkins diet best for weight, cholesterol". A "highly credible" study states that a low-carb diet and a Mediterranean-style regimen helped people lose more weight than a traditional low-fat diet in one of the longest and largest studies to compare the competing weight-loss techniques".

I know it works. I just have to figure out a way keep my eating habits within the low-carb arena. A permanent change, with occasional lapses, is the key.

Exercise is great for a depressed mood (good for you for walking gentle) . . . . true depression needs follow-up with a physician (and exercise). I've always been a "blue" type person . . . .

    I dunno . . . . life is complicated.

Hmmm I could echo your whole post. Only problem is that the lapses sometimes last for a year or more and by then I have gained all of it back!

I am pretty much doing no sugar-no flour and trying to increase my vegetable/fruit intake, and exercise.

I lost 5 lb right off the bat, then regained 2 and I feel "flubby" (meaning, I can grab flab ... maybe my skin was just too tight before for me to feel it?? lol...)

I really do want to keep doing this, but the progress is sooooo slow... I do feel better and more optimistic!

Ok guys, I give up trying to keep up at the moment. Every time I think I'm back on here for the long-haul, school & life attacks me & I'm MIA again, sorry, lol! Anyway, since I last spoke to y'all, my divorce was finalized and I am now a month & a half away from graduation! WooHoo!!! I cannot wait! I am so in love with nursing, more & more every day & I can't wait until I can do this for pay rather than pay the school to do this, hahaha! My preceptorship starts in August & I am stoked!

Ok - on health - uh - yeah - the end of nursing school has sorta killed that for me so I need to get back on track - have regained some weight & feel like blah right now. Have been eating horrible & never sleeping, so hopefully this will settle & I can get back on track after graduation. Before then would be great, but doubtful at the moment, lol!

Sorry I don't have time to catch up with everybody, but wanna let y'all know I miss 'ya & am still alive out here, still working towards my goal & dreaming big dreams, hehe!

    HUGS to everybody!

So...I'm making you guys my new bestest friends ever. I'm graduating in two and a half weeks (wooooohooo!!!!) and through NS I have lost 40 pounds and then promptly gained it all back.

    So!!!

The goal is to fit into XL Urbane Scrub pants so I can buy them in long and get galaxy blue. Plus to get my RN and be a good nurse and all that stuff. But mostly, the pants.

    Hi Sarah! w00t!

I'm eating a homemade vegan Morracan stew to die for, lots of great spices like mint, cinnamin, tumeric, cumin, jalapeno....lots of veggies and raisons. A virtual plethora of sensational tastes. LOL
