    Hello peeps!

I did manage to go to the gym Monday. Today I walked the dogs. I'm having a healthy dinner wtih orange acorn squash, collards (but plain...yuk...it's not the same with out the grease) and whole wheat pasta. Today was our free Xmas lunch at work, so I won't tell you what I ate....

Hi all! Didn't get to weigh in last week - we were busy buying a new vehicle! 4wd, very helpful with today's snow storm!!! Have been sticking to WW pretty well, until today when the hospital had the holiday buffet. Even then I was fine, til I got to the desert part. Completely splurged on a SINFUL chocolate cheese cake. MAN was that good, worth any effort it will take to get rid of it. Did get a bit of a sugar rush 'ugh' feeling about an hour after, but that was worth it too.
Will weigh in Fri morning.... Best be on my best behavior the next couple days!!!

today was a lousy eating day.

homeschool with ds2 was good though. I helped with the boys' Bitty Sports too. I also managed to finish all paperwork needed to turn into the state for homeschool. ds2 continues to improve.

    took another nap.

Yesterday, I began my version of composting. Which basically amounts to dig a hole, drop old vegetables/bread inside, cover hole with dirt.

    going to bed.

    Hi everyone.

Congrats, Muffie. Hon, you inspire me. thank you.

Tweety, yes, I understand your concerns regarding the dogs and composting. We are planning on adding a dog to our family sometime in 2008. I will need to research, how to handle that situation. I didn't think the dogs would be interested in spoiled vegetables; but, I don't know for certain.

Eating the best that I can.

    Going to bed.

    Zoe,

I don't know. I kinda hope not, but, I don't know. I'll have to ask some of my other composting friends.

Eating junk at times. Eating well at times too. Overall, I think the habits are improving, but, I need to get on the scale. That is the true test, after all.

Soooo, tired. worked last night. hopefully will finish online shopping tonight or in early morning.

Muffie has been doing WW - I don't know who else - but every one of us is trying to do SOMEthing to improve our health (many of us by eating healthier!!) - so you are not alone! Just post on here every day and don't be afraid to be honest (lol) - we are all fallible too - but the honesty helps, er, keep us honest ha ha

Way to go Cyndie!!! You've taken the first positive step. WW is one tried and true program. A guy I went to highschool with lost 100 lbs. with WW and is now an instructor working for them part time.

    Good luck!

I was good today and worked out after work.

Hi Cyndie - welcome to the Healthier Living Thread.

I haven't done WW - but I'm sure that most programs work - you just have to find the one that fits YOU. :spin:

I'm feeling overwhelmed today - I am struggling with stats - called the prof three times today. Then had to run to the nearest (21 miles) pharmacy for my father-in-law for Reglan - he is in terrible abd pain - just got out of the ER this morning (was in a car accident with a cow last night but the abd pain is not related to that). My house is a mess. I have 3 more problems to do for stats class tomorrow. Dinner is not ready.

I have to admit that I ate a wonderful pastry at lunch - made by a friend as a Christmas present for us. Filled with cream cheese. And a cup of coffee. But for breakfast I had a soy and banana and yogurt shake. Tonight I'm making turkey chili.

Some days are hard, some are easy. Everyone just needs to be gentle with themselves. We are not perfect

    End of whine/sermon.

    steph
